| Susan is a fine art photographer residing in Seattle, Washington. She received a BFA in Art History from the University of Colorado in 1988 and in 1993, earned BFA in Fine Arts from the New England School of Art and Design in Boston, MA. After living abroad for many years, Susan relocated to the state of Washington where she completed the University of Washington Certificate in Photography program in 2009. The voyage of discovery is what inspires Susan to photograph. She loves to use the camera with a painterly effect and is particularly interested in water for its physical attributes. Her intense connection to water has been a recurring theme in all of her creative endeavors as well as an important aspect of her daily life. Susan also enjoys expressing her personal reaction to forms and patterns that occur in nature and our day-to-day world. She continually strives to draw the viewer in to consider observing something typically seen as trivial in a large and significant way. |
